Background
F.I.R.E was begun by world renowned photojournalist, David Edwards. While working in Mongolia, Dave became concerned about the ever increasing number of street children he saw. Out of a desire to alleviate their hopelessness, Dave began delivering used clothing, in duffle bags he hand acarried, to orphanages in Mongolia in 1993. In 1997 Dave and a group of Flagsatff, AZ residents formed a grassroots aid organization, Mongolian Orphans Association. The name was changed to F.I.R.E Flagstaff International Relief Effort in 2000.
F.I.R.E. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit
