Living like a Mongolian nomad

Earlier this year, the United States Air Force Schriever Base published an article online about one of their captains’ journey to and through Mongolia. Captain Casey Freeman traveled to Mongolia through a church’s fellowship and spent fifteen days living with a nomadic Mongolian family, helping with physical labor and immersing himself into their culture.

“’They are very hospitable,’ he said. ‘They took us in like we were family. When we were leaving, the family we stayed with was tearing up. I also got emotional having to say goodbye to some of these people. You develop a bond in a short period.’”
